EZ Low Voltage Systems LLC was founded by a union-trained electrician and a developer who owns and operates 350 units — two people who see building technology from both sides, and install what they run in their own buildings.
Ervin Muzhaqi has spent 7+ years as a union-trained electrician working in New York City's buildings — pre-war co-ops, ground-up developments, occupied multifamily buildings mid-renovation — with 100+ jobs completed. Zach Magid came at those same buildings from the other side: as a developer and owner-operator of 350 units in NYC and the surrounding areas who understood the business case for getting technology right, but kept running into vendors who didn't.
The frustration was the same from both sides: building owners were paying good money for intercom systems that went down, access platforms with proprietary lock-in, and camera software that charged monthly fees for features that should have been included on day one. Nobody was offering a clean, modern alternative built for New York's specific building stock.
So they built one themselves — starting with Zach's own portfolio. Every one of his 350 units runs on UniFi today, and EZ Low Voltage installs the same systems for its clients. Ervin brings union-trained technical precision to every installation and runs each one personally. Zach brings the owner-operator perspective that turns complex scopes into clear proposals — and makes sure the system actually serves the building long after the crew has left.
The result is a company that operates differently: fixed pricing, transparent scopes, and a platform — UniFi — that eliminates the subscription fees and vendor dependency that have frustrated building owners for years.
We don't recommend hardware you don't need, and we don't mark up equipment to pad the invoice. Our pricing is fixed and transparent. If a $4,000 intercom does the job, we won't upsell you to a $9,000 one.
We treat occupied buildings like people live in them — because they do. We work clean, we restore what we disturb, and we schedule work around residents' lives, not just our crew's convenience.
We're in this for the long haul. We answer the phone, we show up when something needs attention, and we treat every service call as an opportunity to earn the next referral.
Two co-founders who still show up on every job. No account managers, no handoffs — when you work with EZ Low Voltage, you work with us.
Every building we work in is protected by our full credentials. No cutting corners — not on insurance, not on workmanship, and not on documentation.
We're based in Brooklyn and serve the greater metro area — with direct experience in each market's unique building stock and building requirements.
